how funny to read the other reviews! I also first smelled the fragrance on my visiting Aunt! She was always exotic to me anyway, French Canadian, tanned, and wearing Shalimar! I've been wearing it since 1968. A luscious scent! I wish Guerlain still made the Shalimar in the oil.

As a small child,my aunt came to visit wearing Shalimar. I told her how pretty she smelled. "When you are 16, I'll give you your own Shalimar", she said. To this day, and I am 74, I've never even tried another fragrance. So...it's the ONLY perfume for me. Men love it too!!

I have been wearing Shalimar Perfume since a boyfriend of mine bought me a big huge round flat bottle full of the most beautiful fragrance I had ever smelled - is was 1969. I have checked over the years to see if anything comes even close - nope... Thank you for not trying to "update" the fragrance - in this case - leave perfection alone - thank you and have a good day...
