Giorgio Armani was born on July 11, 1934 in Italy. As a young man Armani originally was interested in studying medicine but soon made the change to fashion. He was called upon for the national service in 1957. Following this he went on to work as a window dresser for La Rinascente. Armani left and began working for Nino Cerruti as a fashion designer. With the help of his partner Sergio Galeotti, Armani launched his own label in 1974. Armani's line of fashion for men was so successful that he introduced a line of women's fashion, accessories and fragrances.
The first perfume for women, called Aqua Di Gio, was launched in 1995. This perfume for women contains a blend of sweet pea and jasmine. The men's Aqua Di Gio launched the same year and contains a blend of marine notes. Armani launched several other fragrances including Mania, Armani Remix and Armani Diamonds. The perfume Armani Diamonds was created by Beyonce Knowles. Giorgio Armani has become a powerhouse of fashion, accessories and perfumes. He is a common name among the celebrities and everyday clientele.
