Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981 in Louisiana. Spears grew up learning to do gymnastics and sing in her local church choir. At the age of eight, Britney auditioned for the Disney Channel The New Mickey Mouse Club but was considered too young. One of the producers of the Mickey Mouse Club saw her talent and introduced her to a New York agent. Britney's new agent landed her roles in several off-Broadway productions and a spot on Star Search. Britney later went on to return to the Mickey Mouse Club where she performed from the ages of 11-13.
Britney's debut single ??Baby One More Time? was launched in 1998 and brought the young singer a world of fame. She went on to record several other albums and tour around the world.
