Brunettes are digging bangs

It may have been a long time since you wore bangs – like, grade school, even. Well, apparently it's time to take a blast to the past and sport bangs, especially if you're a straight-haired brunette.
A number of trend-setting celebs have been spotted wearing bangs down to their eyebrows and framing their face with long, straight locks. Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Mary J. Blige are just a few of the stars who have either tried bangs or made it their premier look. In fact, Rashida Jones told Stylelist that she's been sporting bangs more or less since she was five years old. Guess old habits die hard.
There's also a few different ways to style this look. Some ladies go with bouncy bangs that stop just short of their brow, while others like to let their hair grow out a bit longer so that it's almost covering their eyes. Girls who like their hair curly or very short can pair it with side-swept bangs, and longer locks work well with casual, layered bangs.
Anywho, if this hip look is something you'd like to try out, take comfort in knowing that it's actually one of the easiest 'dos to apply at home with the right discount hair care products and a flat iron. For starters, it helps if you're actually a brunette, though if you're not, you can make the switch with some hair coloring. And, of course, you'll need to grow out your bangs.
Dyeing the hair could take a few tries if you have light blond tresses, so take time to apply coloring and rinse several times before you get the shade the way you want it. Also, if you've never been a brunette, you might not want to go fully dark at first. A lighter shade can help ease the transition.
